My buddy Jimmy and I decided to hit up the lake before sunrise a few weeks ago. We pulled into the access a touch before 4. In search of fish, we paddled our kayaks through the darkness...and paddled...and paddled. Fish we found, but what they wanted to eat, we did not. As the eastern sky started to glow, I soon realized why we get up at the crack of dawn to work our butt off sometimes to bring home nothing. The sights that an outdoorsman sees when on the water, in the woods, or on the prairie, are something special and are something that unfortunately some people never see. God lit up his creation with many different colors plastered on His canvas.
Jimmy continued to fish and I put down the pole and snapped a few pics. We don't always need fish to have a successful morning on the water! Until next time, keep livin' your dream!!
